I met Ali + Jay for the first time over a facetime video chat. They were looking for a DC area photographer to capture their Delaware wedding, and I knew instantly that I was going to like them! They were laid back yet engaging, comfortable yet undeniably in love. I always jump for joy when a couple tells me how critically important the photography of their wedding day is to them. [That’s my kind of client!] We chatted about how they met – at a sports bar watching both of their favorite football teams lose on different screens. [Go Eagles! …sorry Ali] We discovered that the venue they selected was only a mile away from the house that my boyfriend grew up in – small world! But on their wedding day, these two were a whole different level of amazing. I got a little choked up as I read the inscription on the jewelry box that Jay had given Ali, “My life started over when my eyes met yours.” Beautiful. Watching tears stream down Ali’s face as she walked down the aisle was heartwarming, and hearing Jay tell Ali how breathtakingly beautiful she looked as I was taking bridal portraits put a smile on her face that couldn’t be wiped away. Thank you, Ali + Jay, for letting me be a part of your beautiful day! Here’s a sneak peek of your love story.
As always, a huge thanks to all the awesome vendors who helped make this day so beautiful [and fun]!
