Meet Emily – my dear beloved friend and co-photographer at countless weddings. Together, we’ve been classmates, roommates, co-creators, and friends for over a decade. To watch her fall in love with her perfect match (meet Gregg!) and to click the shutter as they vowed to spend their lives together was an overwhelmingly special experience.
Emily & Gregg didn’t want to wait to start the next chapter of their lives together, so with a slightly slimmer guest list than originally envisioned, they planned the most perfect, intimate DC wedding. Emily wore diamond earrings gifted to her by her aunt 20 years earlier, which she promised she would (eventually) wear on her wedding day. She also donned her grandmother’s aquamarine ring as her “something blue” and a pair of gold Gucci shoes, as a nod to the “double G” spelling of Gregg’s name.
Every detail was thoughtfully and meaningfully considered. Emily and Gregg recessed down the aisle and stepped right into their first dance as newlyweds, while a string duo serenaded “All You Need is Love”. The evening continued with a candlelit dinner on The Conrad’s garden terrace, as friends and family toasted the couple. In the age of COVID, Emily & Gregg invited their guests to the perfect after-party – an open air bus tour of the DC Monuments and a late night McDonald’s snack! What a way to end the night!
Emily & Gregg, I am so happy that you found each other, and I couldn’t have felt more honored to capture this incredibly beautiful day. Cheers!
