This engagement session was a photographer’s dream! An awesome couple, a gorgeous day, and …oh, wait, what’s that you say – Hawaiian paradise? Yes, the setting for this e-session was Lanikai Beach on the island of O’ahu! I don’t think I need to explain how beautiful this place was – just check out the images! But first, the must-read love story of this truly amazing couple in the words of the soon-to-be bride. “We have been together for about 2.5 years. We are both active duty army and met at our initial officer training in Texas where we instantly felt a connection. After training, Jake got stationed in Hawaii and I was stationed in Texas so our first 2 years were spent across the ocean, seeing each other intermittently… long flight after long flight. In the middle of 2014, I got deployed to Afghanistan for 6 months. This truly was the turning point in our relationship as we realized if we could survive a deployment, we could survive anything. When I finally got to see Jake again in February of this year, after deployment, he planned a trip for us to Kauai where he proposed under the stars on a secluded beach. It seemed that fate truly wanted us to be together because shortly after, I was offered a new assignment on Oahu that started in June! Jake and I are finally near one another and things could not be stronger for us! We are getting married next year in Montego Bay, Jamaica and cannot wait for what our future holds :)”
