Usually when I mention “sunrise session” to clients as we chat about engagement photography, I feel the need to throw in phrases like “if you’re so brave” and “it’s early, but it’ll be worth it.” I get it! I’m a night owl myself, and the prospect of not only getting up before the crack of dawn, but also needing to look awake, put together, and ready to smile for an hour…sounds daunting.

When I mentioned “sunrise session” to Heather & Ricky, the response I received was, “A sunrise shoot sounds lovely!” They’re just the type of up-for-anything people who I love photograph. (And I have a sneaking suspicion that they might just be morning people too.) But holy cow, check out that gorgeous sunrise that we all witnessed!
