Lauryn & Michael grew up only 45 minutes away from each other, but it took a move to DC and a little push from the world of online dating to bring them together. Michael definitely deserves a “most creative first date” award for escorting his future wife to an air guitar competition! (You read that correctly.) Lauryn recalled that they enjoyed getting to know each other in a relaxed environment while laughing at people ripping their shirts off as they played the air guitar. His creativity definitely paid off!
Their perfect wedding day was full of tradition, laughter…and at one point, a flying groom, as he leapt off his chair during the Hora! Lauryn and Michael said their vows surrounded by stunning fall foliage, beneath a Chuppah quilted out of the groom’s late father’s shirts. Hidden within the autumn tree of their custom Ketubah was the Hebrew phrase: Ani L’Dodi, v’Dodi Li, which translates to “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine.” Lauryn and Michael stunned their guests with a perfectly choreographed first dance, and ended the night on the sweetest of notes with an ice cream surprise!
L&M, THANK YOU for the honor of capturing this amazing day! Cheers to many years of out of the box dates and non-stop laughter!
