A long history led Carolyn and James to their wedding day. They were high school sweethearts who went off to college and spent the following years entering adulthood separately. They dated each other a few times on and off over the years, as visits home would inevitably reunite them. Fast forward to a decade after their high school romance, when Carolyn decided that she wanted to buy a condo. So, naturally, she reached out to her favorite real estate agent, James, for guidance. Discussions led to house showings, which turned into dates, and the rest is history!

There is something so special about a hometown wedding, and watching Carolyn get ready for the big day in the house where she grew up was pretty spectacular! Her Mom helped her into her dress, and her Dad’s jaw dropped as she walked down the staircase of their family home. (That moment gave me serious “Father of the Bride” nostalgia.) Her grandmother helped her into a family heirloom necklace, while her grandfather secured her veil. Such a sweet celebration of family that continued on throughout the day!

From the moment that Carolyn and James saw each other at either end of the aisle, smiles never left their faces. Cheered on by an incredibly fun wedding party, these two laughed their way through their first day of marriage. Carolyn switched out her heels for the coolest custom Converse All-Stars. James toasted to the background check ordered on him. The crowd learned about Carolyn’s peewee football days (the only girl on the team)! And everyone (including me) cried as Carolyn and her Dad shared a dance to Beauty and the Beast.
